Stream2Watch

Stream2Watch launched back in 2012 and, for years, was one of the most widely used free sports streaming index sites around, covering pretty much every sport under the sun. Like most sites of its kind, it operated across a long list of domains over the years — .com, .org, .ws, .cc, .co, .sx, .one and .tv among them, by its own account.

In December 2022, Stream2Watch was named among a wave of sports piracy domains seized by US authorities, alongside other well-known brands. As is typical in this space, the site relocated to a new domain shortly afterwards and carried on operating much as before.

More recently, though, Stream2Watch's own website has started describing itself very differently — as an independent, "100% legal" sports broadcast directory that only ever links to official, licensed broadcasters, and says it completed a full audit of its listings back in 2023 to make sure of it. We looked into this claim before writing this page, and it's worth being upfront about what we found: every version of it traces back to Stream2Watch's own pages, repeated in near-identical wording across several of its domains. We couldn't find a broadcaster confirming any partnership, or any independent report covering the change — which would ordinarily be a notable story for outlets that cover exactly this kind of thing.

We're not in a position to independently verify what happens behind the scenes on any third-party site, Stream2Watch included. What we can say is that a site's own description of itself isn't the same as independent confirmation, and there's a much simpler way to be sure: go directly to a broadcaster that holds the rights, rather than a directory that says it does.

The safest way to watch live sport is through official broadcasters such as Sky Sports, TNT Sports via HBO Max, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, NOW, DAZN or Amazon Prime Video. These services hold the rights to show matches and provide secure, high-quality streams without pop-ups or security risks.
