Live Tennis: Schedules, Dates, TV Channels & Tournament times
Regarded as one of the most popular sports across the globe, tennis attracts roughly 400 million viewers annually across it’s four grand slam tournaments. Additional competitions only further add to this number potentially taking viewership numbers to upwards of a billion per annum. The first televised tennis match was held in 1937 at Wimbledon making it one of the first sports across the globe to be made publicly available via broadcaster – the years since have made tennis even more accessible to the masses further growing its popularity within the sporting landscape.
The Grand Slam tournaments are held at the same time every year with the Australian Open taking place in January, the French Open taking place in May and June, Wimbledon taking place in June and July, and the US Open taking place in August and September. Alongside these tournaments is the ATP tour which is held at various points across the year.
