Grand Prix Race Weekend Format
- Friday: Two practice sessions where teams fine-tune their cars and strategies.
- Saturday: A final practice session followed by qualifying, which determines the starting grid for the race.
- Sunday: The main event – the race itself, where drivers tackle a set number of laps aiming for the chequered flag and maximum points.
When Are Formula One Events Held?
The Formula 1 season typically kicks off in March and runs through to December, featuring around 22 to 24 races. These events take place across five continents, from the dazzling night race in Singapore to the historic streets of Monaco. Each race weekend is an opportunity for fans to witness the drama of split-second decisions, overtakes, and tactical pit stops.
The sport also incorporates a summer break in August, allowing teams to regroup and prepare for the latter half of the season.
