The BBC still holds the TV rights for the major Snooker tournaments in the UK. The World Snooker Championships, UK Championships and The Masters are all available throughout the Snooker calendar, with every round shown in HD.
British Eurosport also continue to share live coverage of Snooker - as well as showing the major tournaments that the BBC cover, Eurosport also have the rights to broadcast 19 World Snooker tournaments each year, and also the World Open Snooker - these rights all expire in 2016.
ITV has rights to show just one Snooker tournament, the World Open which is shown on ITV4 - this deal expired in 2013. Sky Sports have also recently won rights to broadcast the World Snooker Shoot-out which is a 10-minute per frame match featuring the Top 64 players in the world.
