ITV, who have exclusive TV rights to the 2015 Rugby World Cup on TV have announced their broadcast team for the tournament.
Starting on 19th September 2015 and runs for 6 weeks, ITV will broadcast every match live, with the World Cup Final being played at Twickenham on October 31st.
The main anchor for the live broadcasts will be presenter John Inverdale, who will be joined daily by a whole host of ex RU stars from around the globe as pundits. Other presenters will include Mark Durden-Smith and Craig Doyle.
The list of pundits will include Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jason Robinson from England, as well as coach Sir Clive Woodward. From Ireland, Brian O’Driscoll will join the team as well as former Wales Captain Gareth Thomas. Other big names include former Scotland coach Ian McGeechan, SA’s winning captain Francois Piernaar, former NZ captain Sean Fitzpatrick, Australia’s Michael Lynagh and George Gregan.
Commentary of the live matches will include Nick Mullins, Miles Harrison, Jon Champion, Martin Gillingham and Simon Ward, plus co-commentators Geordan Murphy, Scott Hastings, Shane Williams and Ben Kay.
